Your Ideal Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Evolution Based on the Astrological Sign

This comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread enthusiasm within the community. Starting with the one-by-one reveal of fresh additions before the game's release, to trainers developing firm opinions on the entire roster of new Megas, there's plenty for enthusiasts to anticipate.

With many of the Mega Evolutions boasting distinctive appearances that emphasize their traits, one idea came to mind: How can link this with zodiac signs? The following is based on a mix of vibes, common zodiac traits, and personal experience.

Aries – Mega Camerupt

To be truthful, Houndour's evolution was nearly selected for Aries, as both are the Super Form and astrological sign that evoke the most fear. But, a Mega Houndoom comes across as constantly furious, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, renowned for being fun, light-hearted, and spontaneous. This makes Aries far more akin to Mega Camerupt, which solely erupts when angered. Stay on the friendly side of either and benefit from a strong ally; should you offend them, be ready to face the consequences.

Taurus – Mega Heracross

Much like a devoted Taurus, the reliable Heracross, whether in its standard and Super Form, has assisted numerous players in Legends: Z-A. While dependable, each the creature and a Taurus are also battle-oriented, and – whether it's their trainer or a firm belief – will stand up for their side unwaveringly. The thing about Mega Heracross that recalls most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unashamed passion for snacks. Many previous official descriptions mention their fondness for sweet sap and how it uses its appendage to collect it all, which is pure Taurus energy.

Gemini – Super Medicham

Look at this absolute royalty. It's impossible to convince me this Pokémon is not the life of every party, providing an endless stream of gossip to anyone who wish to listen. Much like an captivating, gregarious Twins, it's incredibly simple to imagine Super Medicham mesmerizing an whole Wild Zone with their stories. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also states its ability to predict an enemy’s next moves, which sounds very like a socially-savvy Gemini.

Cancer – Super Manectric

The Crab is widely regarded as the most sensitive member of the astrological wheel, a intense symbol known for often becoming absorbed in their feelings. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution charges the creature with a “tremendous quantity of electricity, but it's excessive for Manectric to completely control,” which seems a lot like a typical Cancer crash-out. It is also known for its ability to create a storm cloud over its very head – and if there’s one thing a Crab is going to do, it’s spoil their good time.

Leo – Mega Starmie

Well, did you assume I was going to select the lion Pokémon for the king of the stars? Besides the fact that it would be far too obvious, Leo is clearly Mega Starmie, the diva whose gams just went viral for being too fabulous (or horrifying, based on your preference). Players couldn’t look away from the violet sea star, and that’s precisely the identical vibe a Lion offers to the scene. Starmie is also said to be transmitting signals from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s typical of a Lion to be staging a performance, albeit for aliens.

Virgo – Super Victreebel

The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Virgo is perfectly encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with perpetual digestive issues. The sign known for being charmingly critical is strongly reflected across this creature's entire evolutionary chain, from a perpetually shocked face like a Maiden when you inform them you don’t have a 401(k), to its inverted visage that’s just like the symbol a Virgo posts to the group chat when all says they want to “go with the flow” instead of creating a strategy.

The Scales – Super Audino

Observe this gentle, sensitive being, who uses the feelers on its ears to detect how people are emotionally by their heartbeat. Consistently compassionate – sometimes to a detriment – and striving to keep the peace, there are many Scales who would likely benefit from Mega Audino’s abilities. However, let’s be honest, it would likely just cause them to worry even more about others.

Scorpio – Super Banette

This Ghost-type is a creature with a unexpectedly sad backstory: Abandoned as a toy, it became sentient through pure hatred and vowed retribution on its former owner. Per the official info, Mega Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That sounds exactly like several discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpion friends. A Scorpion loves cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the ideal match with Super Banette.

The Archer – Mega Hawlucha

Each Mega Hawlucha and Archers are always staging a performance. Being a Sagittarius myself, the number of times I’ve called myself some version of a “playful small entertainer” is countless. The most flamboyant and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its description even mentions how it “flexes to display its strength.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Archer counterpart I can imagine.

Capricorn – Super Absol

Were you aware that a Super Absol has the power to foresee disasters in advance? That exudes the exact same energy as a Capricorn, who often consistently think they’re correct. The thing is, similar to a prophetic Mega Absol, they often are. It’s also the very first Super Form that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to get in on the ground floor of the Super Form craze.

Aquarius – Mega Chandelure

Detached air sign Aquarius is arguably the non-fire sign that is closest to a flame symbol – its sister sign is the Lion, and there are countless jokes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being chaotic partners in crime. Super Chandelure's dual Ghost/Fire typing fits perfectly with this, and the Super Form's general daunting presence is also very Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet persuaded, the Mega’s Pokédex entry says it “draws in negative energy and transforms it into power.” If that fails to exactly {encaps
