Emma Raducanu reached the third round in three Grand Slam tournaments Grand Slams in the current campaign.

Emma Raducanu from Great Britain has pulled out of the last two tournaments of the year as a result of a health issue she has been battling for the last week and a half.

At 22 years old had planned to participate in tournaments in Tokyo and Hong Kong but has decided to fly home to recover before starting plans for the 2026 season.

Her upcoming training are set to feature coach Francisco Roig, as both individuals have agreed to work together for the upcoming season.

The tennis professional underwent blood pressure monitoring while playing the initial match against Ann Li in Wuhan last week and stopped playing when behind 6-1 4-1 on a very muggy occasion.

She again required medical attention at this week's Ningbo Open, where she fell in a three-set match to Zhu Lin, a Chinese wildcard in round one.

She was also playing far from freely in the final set against Zhu owing to back discomfort that has troubled her during parts of the season.

Those results meant an encouraging season, in which she climbed into the international top 30 after more than three years since her previous ranking, finished with a trio of defeats.

The athlete was close to victory with three match points prior to falling to Pegula in the third stage in the Beijing tournament last month.

The player achieved 28 matches during 2025 and made it to the semi-final round in the Washington tournament, but her standout performance was at March's Miami Open.

As Britain's top player reached the quarter-finals of the WTA 1000 event, defeating eighth seed Emma Navarro during the tournament prior to a loss in three sets to fourth-ranked Pegula.

She was coached by trainer Mark Petchey from the Miami event through Wimbledon, with Roig taking over in time for the US Open.

The first plan with Rafael Nadal's former coach was until the end of the season but the collaboration persists, with a training session scheduled in the coming months.

The athlete revealed that a three-day test period with Roig post-Wimbledon was like a "black ops mission" as they tried to keep the meeting secret.

The player was close to defeating top-ranked Aryna Sabalenka at their initial event as a team in August's Cincinnati tournament.

The coach also accompanied Raducanu in New York, where she made the third stage before being beaten by Elena Rybakina, the 2022 Wimbledon winner.
